“Section 8” Acquired by RLJE Films, in Theaters & AMC+ on Sept. 23!

“Section 8” is headed to AMC+ and movie theaters this September 23rd, and action fans have a lot to get excited about!

Ryan Kwanten, Scott Adkins, and Dolph Lundgren, are joined by Mickey Rourke and Paul Sloan in “Section 8”, while the movie promises no shortage of gunplay, explosions, and martial arts. That much is very clear from the new trailer for “Section 8”, which you can see below!

The official synopsis of “Section 8” offers audiences a gander into the movie’s premise:

After avenging the murder of his wife and child, a former soldier is sent to prison with a life sentence. He’s given a shot at freedom when a shadow government agency recruits him for an off-the-books assignment, and he soon realizes Section 8 isn’t what it seems.

Christian Semsa’s Star is on the Rise…

Christian Sesma is looking to be really on his way up as a director in the DTV action scene with “Section 8” shaping up to be one of 2022’s stand outs in that realm.

He and Scott Adkins also seem to be collaborating with increasing frequency, with Scott’s upcoming movie “Lights Out” also directed by Mr. Sesma, and co-starring Frank Grillo, JuJu Chan Szeto, Mekhi Phifer, and Jaime King.

After that, Scott will also pull a “Double Impact” with Christian Sesma in the action movie “War Paint”, in which Scott plays the identical twin brother of a murdered Hollywood action star and embarks on a revenge mission against his brother’s killer.

Scott Adkins and Dolph Lundgren Back Together Again!

Additionally, the actioner also reunites Scott with Dolph Lundgren, marking their fifth collaboration following “The Expendables 2”, “Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning”, “Legendary”, and “Castle Falls”.

Scott and Dolph have consistently brought plenty of fireworks to their work together, and have had multiple great fight scenes together. It’ll certainly be one of the most anticipated elements of “Section 8” to see what side of the hero-villain table they sit on.

“Section 8” is Action-Packed!

The trailer for “Section 8” showcases an action movie that moves at a mile a minute, with Scott Adkins snagging many of its stand-out fight scene snippets.

Christian Sesma and the cast of this movie have evidently crafted a very swing-for-the-fences type of action movie, a hard task on any day no doubt compounded by the filmmaking adaptations necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

As another Scott-Dolph team-up and Scott-Christian team-up in one package, “Section 8” is game to show what it has to offer this September – we’re keen to see it’s all as good as the trailer promises!

“Section 8” hits theaters and AMC+ on September 23rd, stay tuned for more info as it arrives!
