John Salvitti releases “Pound of Flesh” tribute!

Back in January of 2015, the martial arts world was shocked and deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Darren Shahlavi. Known for tackling villainous roles in films such as “Bloodmoon“, “Ip Man 2“, and “Mortal Kombat: Legacy“.

Darren will make some posthumous appearances in the upcoming “Kickboxer: Vengeance” and “Zambo Dende“, which come on the heels of the first film to be released in the aftermath of his untimely passing, 2015’s “Pound of Flesh“. If you enjoyed seeing Darren appear opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme in the film, you certainly won’t want to miss fight choreographer John Salvitti’s behind-the-scenes tribute to the making of the film!

Read the official interviews with both John and the film’s director, Ernie Barbarash, who were able to share some heartfelt stories about making the film with Darren as did John’s fellow fight choreographer Larnell Stovall in his epic interview. With a couple more opportunities to see Darren onscreen after he left us so unexpectedly, John Salvitti’s tribute to the making of “Pound of Flesh” is a welcome addition to that slate.

Check out “Pound of Flesh” if you haven’t seen it yet and stay tuned for Darren’s upcoming appearances in “Kickboxer: Vengeance” and “Zambo Dende”!
