“Bring Him Back Dead” Arrives August 2 - KUNG FU KINGDOM
In “Bring Him Back Dead”, Gary plays Alex, who finds himself the target of a criminal gang after an attempted heist goes south.
Louis Mandylor appears opposite Gary as the gang’s leader Trent, with Daniel Baldwin also appearing in the film as Boothe. Judging from the trailer, a gang battle in a secluded home in the woods will serve as the foundation for “Bring Him Back Dead”.
For those readers who weren’t around in the 90’s and early 2000’s, Gary Daniels was a big name in B-action movies of the era, such as “Bloodfist IV: Die Trying” (opposite Don “The Dragon” Wilson), “Fist of the North Star”, and “Bloodmoon”.
Gary also had a “Street Fighter”-style comedic battle with Jackie Chan in “City Hunter”, and had other memorable action roles in the 2010’s with “Tekken”, “The Expendables”, and “Forced to Fight”.
For fans of Gary’s eclectic blend of martial arts style in his action movie career, it’s certainly great to see him still kicking butt today.
Going off of the trailer, “Bring Him Back Dead” looks set to be a mix of gunplay, martial arts, and traps, seemingly adopting the rough template of “Rambo: Last Blood” in a secluded woodland setting.
Louis Mandylor as the villainous Trent is bound to be a scenery-chewing treat, as his performances in the “Debt Collector” movies more than attest to.
Whilst it’s a relatively small-scale actioner, director Mark Savage looks like he knows how to maximize the potential of the environment “Bring Him Back Dead” is set in for maximum impact.
With Gary not having lost a step in his spin-kicking ways, “Bring Him Back Dead” could be a compact, but explosively fun way to wrap up summer 2022 for action movie buffs!
