LIGER - Tollywood MMA Film Feat. Mike Tyson KUNG FU KINGDOM
The teaser trailer for “Liger” is basically two minutes of its hero dropping opponents with picture-perfect kicks, a task that Deverakonda accomplishes admirably.
Some kind of romantic plot mixed with organized crime elements also seem to be in place for “Liger”, but viewers will likely have to wait for more marketing matter to get the full picture of what “Liger” is really all about.
From its exquisitely-showcased fight sequences, one would never guess from the trailer that “Liger” was severely hamstrung by the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Liger” first entered production in early 2020, and endured not one, but two COVID-related shutdowns. Seeing it finally cross the finish line with its upcoming August release is obviously joyous news to action fans.
The potential “Liger” displays in the trailer in addition to Vijay Deverakonda’s action star chops in the physical rigors department of the movie’s fight scenes look like quite the treat for martial arts fans!
“Liger” also brings in a cowboy, hat-wearing Mike Tyson in the trailer. While his role is unrevealed, it seems a good bet that he’ll be an antagonist of sorts that our hero will find himself battling.
Mike Tyson’s made an all-around decent transition to action movies and screen combat with his fight scenes in “Ip Man 3” and “Kickboxer: Retaliation”, so hopefully, the abundant martial arts fights that this Indian actioner is set to showcase, makes equally strong use of his skills.
One way or another, the Western release of “Liger” is one that martial arts fans will have great reason to anticipate from the trailer doing its job so well!
