Blades of the Guardians | UK Exclusive Sneak Peek

Check out this exclusive sneak peek for Yuen Woo-ping’s Blades of the Guardians, celebrating the new release in UK and Irish cinemas!

In this action-packed montage, we’re treated to a special preview of what’s in store for our martial heroes in this epic quest across the desert.

Set during the Sui Dynasty, this historical story follows Dao Ma, a bounty hunter who accepts a job escorting a man on the long road to the city of Chang’an. However, he discovers the person in his custody is the empire’s most wanted bounty, with every greedy faction in pursuit. Blades of the Guardians has now become the no.1 wuxia film of all time worldwide, even beating the Oscar-winning Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It’s earned high praise from audiences and critics all over the world.

From action director and martial arts choreographer, Yuen Woo-ping (Kill Bill, The Matrix, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), the film features a multi-generational martial arts and action cast, including Jet Li (Hero), Wu Jing (Wolf Warrior), Nicholas Tse (Raging Fire), Tony Leung Ka Fai (The Shadow’s Edge), Max Zhang (Ip Man 3), Kara Hui (My Young Auntie), Chen Lijun (New Dragon Gate Inn), Yosh Yu (Creation of the Gods Trilogy), Ci Sha (The Shadow’s Edge) and K-pop star Jun (Wen Junhui) (The Shadow’s Edge), with each given moments to shine.
