Star Wars Lightsaber fights breakdown!

There’s never been a better time to be a “Star Wars” fan, with the recent release of Gareth Edwards’ “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story”, which takes place between “Revenge of the Sith” and “A New Hope”, and sees a ragtag group of space pirates on a mission to steal the plans for the evil Galactic Empire’s new super weapon.

Of course, the presence of Donnie Yen in the film gives martial arts fans even more incentive to plan a trip to a theater near them right now, but “Star Wars” has always delivered the goods on excellent lightsaber-driven fight sequences, something YouTube Godzillarex demonstrates in great detail in his latest fight scene breakdowns.

Specifically, he takes a look at the epic, awe-inspiring duel between Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi in “Revenge of the Sith” and the more raw, savage fight in a snowy forest in last year’s “The Force Awakens”. Godzillarex brings an exceptional analytic eye to breaking down the action of onscreen fight sequences and with many early reactions to “Rogue One” indicating that Donnie (unsurprisingly to us, of course!) steals the show, a pending breakdown of the film’s action scenes is certainly in order!

While “Rogue One” is busily landing in theaters around the world right now be sure to check out our list of the Top 5 Lightsaber duels, and for another fight sequence of epic proportions, our piece on Godzillarex’s video on Batman’s extensive fighting skills, as well!
