“Life After Fighting” Trailer: Kung Fu Kingdom Exclusive!

The 2024 summer movie season is officially underway, and one of the most exciting martial arts actioners of the season and indeed the year, is preparing to bring the thunder from the land down under, namely Bren Foster’s martial arts action thriller “Life After Fighting”.

With the movie set to debut in Australia and around the world on June 7th, Kung Fu Kingdom is pleased to exclusively share the first official trailer for “Life After Fighting”, which you can see below.

KFK can indeed confirm that the new trailer is highly advisable to check out now, in order get your pulse-racing a month ahead of time with the EXTREMELY action-packed tease of the kind of punch, kick, throw, choke, knee, and bo staff strike “Life After Fighting” packs!

Moving Plot…

In “Life After Fighting”, Bren Foster portrays Alex Faulkner, a retired fighter who now runs a martial arts school, and who finds himself fighting for the lives of those dearest to him where several of his younger students are kidnapped by child traffickers.

In addition to leading the film, “Life After Fighting” also marks Bren’s directorial debut, with Bren also scripting the movie.

Bren previously gave the world a peek behind the curtain on “Life After Fighting” immediately prior to the movie entering production in late 2022 while speaking to Scott Adkins on The Art of Action (see below).

In said interview, Bren shared his personal mandate of using the film as a vehicle for drawing attention to the issue of child trafficking as well as demonstrating that compelling drama, characters, and action need not be mutually exclusive concepts.

Bren also set the bar high among martial arts fans with his stated goal of delivering fight scenes on the level of “Yes, I’m going to say it, ‘The Raid’”, and the new trailer for “Life After Fighting” utterly obliterates any doubt that such an ambitious goal was unachievable.

Bren Foster is known for his role on TNT’s “The Last Ship” and his portrayal of the titular character in the “Mad Max” video game, while he’s had action heavy roles previously in movies like “Maximum Conviction” and “A Force of Execution”.

Bren is also well known in the martial arts world for his appearance on numerous installments of the National Geographic martial arts documentary series “Fight Science”, with Bren’s powerful and blindingly fast Taekwondo kicks leaving every crash-test dummy in sight seeing stars.

Bren is a Talented, Multiple Black Belt Holder

Holding black belts in Taekwondo, Hwarangdo, Hapkido, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Bren’s lifetime of training in a multitude of different martial arts disciplines is a sight to behold whether he’s testing the impact of different techniques in a laboratory setting or blasting through a fight like a bolt of lightning.

The trailer for “Life After Fighting” showcases both the movie’s strong human drama in Alex’s desperation to rescue his young students and absolutely phenomenal fight choreography on the part of Bren and the movie’s stunt team (with much of it shot in Bren’s own martial arts school in Australia).

“Life After Fighting” is Awesomely Action-Packed!

Lovers of action are undoubtedly already immeasurably excited for “Life After Fighting” to hit VOD platforms, and they won’t have to wait long.

Vertical Entertainment is handling international distribution for “Life After Fighting” in coordination with Bren and producer Navid Bahadori’s production company Spinning Plates, on the movie set to release both in Australia and internationally on June 7th.

Australian moviegoers will also have the chance to see “Life After Fighting” on the big-screen, with a limited theater run in Australia also planned.

Between now and the movie’s debut, the “Life After Fighting” trailer provides no shortage of action-packed exhilaration and gripping storytelling to tide martial arts fans over for the next month.

From the look of it, “Life After Fighting” could really give blockbusters with 20 times its budget a run for their money, quite a show of superb marketing to start off the summer action movie season indeed!
