Baaghi trailer arrives online!

Earlier this year on KFK, we put out a list of our Top 15 Most Anticipated Martial Arts Movies of 2016, which included the upcoming “John Wick: Chapter Two”. A little later, the news broke that the film would be released in February 2017, and while every other amazing entry on the list still stands, that of course, opened one slot up – and after the debut of the newly released trailer for the upcoming Bollywood actioner “Baaghi”, it’s pretty safe to say that void has now been filled!

Rising Bollywood star and uncanny Brandon Lee lookalike Tiger Shroff steps onto center stage for the second time following 2014’s “Heropanti” in the role of our butt-kicking hero Ronny while Shradda Kapoor portrays the equally physically adept Sia. Going by the thoroughly amazing trailer, India’s indigenous martial art Kalaripayattu will play a major role in the film, with both school and training sequences being featured prominently.

Bollywood seems to be quickly becoming a territory for martial arts fans to keep on their radar lately, and it’s hard to imagine the level of ennui required not to be simply blown away by the “Baaghi” trailer. Tiger and Shradda both show off some incredible athleticism and look like a pretty solid leading couple (is there any moment of them together in the trailer that doesn’t look like it could be a GQ cover?) And, on top of his outstanding martial arts abilities, Tiger is a pretty splendid dancer too as you can see below!

“Baaghi” hit theaters in India on April 29th. Stay tuned for more info on its release in the English-speaking world as it arrives!
