Waarrior Savitri trailer arrives!

The classic Indian fable of Savitri and Satyavaan is set to get a modern re-telling in the upcoming Bollywood martial arts action thriller, “Waarrior Savitri”, which has recently released its first action-laden teaser trailer!

Under the direction of filmmaker Param Gill, Bollywood actress  Niharica Raizada takes the lead in the film, joined by British model Lucy Pinder in her Bollywood debut, along with Dutch superkicker Ron Smoorenburg and accomplished stunt man and action director Tim Man of “Ninja II: Shadow of a Tear” fame. The teaser doesn’t reveal a whole lot beyond the rigorous training Raizada undergoes and some glimpses of her unleashing some punishment on some would-be foes, but it looks to be a very old school take on martial arts training in the mountainous terrain of India in ancient times brought into the 21st century. Of course, many are probably thinking they could pull off Tim’s training regimen seen in the trailer with no trouble at all, but that’s what they all say until the time comes to perform his amazing standing split!

“Waarrior Savitri” is set to be released on October 2nd. Be sure to follow the film’s official Facebook and Twitter pages for more information!
