
The 2nd annual European Shaolin Cultural Festival and Chinese Zodiac and Treasure Exhibition will be held in London’s Soccer Dome from October 8th – 14th. More information on the festival, which promises to be one of the major martial arts related events in the U.K. this year, is set to be unveiled this Wednesday at a press conference in London’s U.K. Shaolin Temple.
The press conference will be hosted by the school’s head instructors, 34th generation Shaolin Monks Shi Yan Zi and Shi Yan Lei, from 2 to 3 pm on Wednesday, August 20th, and will include a presentation on the events that will make up the festival, followed by a short performance and a Q&A session with the press.

Coming to London Soccer Dome this autumn, after its huge success in Berlin in 2012, the 2nd European Shaolin Cultural Festival, combined with the Chinese Zodiac &Treasure Exhibition promises to bring people of all nations together in celebration of peace and well being.
Events will include lectures on Zen, life and Shaolin practices, martial arts competitions and fighting skills presentations, an exhibition on Shaolin culture and 12 Zodiac Animals cultural relics, a meditation, medicine, tea &incense ceremony experience, and finally a charity screening at Vue Piccadilly.
It is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about the Chinese culture and heritage, more specifically Shaolin.
The Venerable Grand Master himself, Shi Yongxin, Abbot of the Songshan Shaolin Temple is scheduled to open the festival and give his blessing to all the guests. The Shaolin monks hope to spread their simple philosophy: have kind thoughts, speak kind words and do good deeds to everyone who wishes to join this peaceful celebration of mind and body practice.
