Pound of Flesh trailer arrives!

The Muscles from Brussels is back in action again in the trailer for the upcoming “Pound of Flesh”! Helmed by “Falcon Rising” director Ernie Barbarash with action direction by frequent Donnie Yen collaborator John Salvitti, the film will see its protagonist Deacon, played by Van Damme, on a vendetta with the criminal underworld after his kidney is stolen. It’s a one-man war of cars, guns, fists and feet on Deacon’s quest to reclaim his stolen organ, and in the midst of it all, he finds time to perform the Second Most Epic of Splits (unfortunately obscuring an appearance by Impact Online’s Mike Leeder in so doing)!

The film notably will be one of the final appearances of Darren Shahlavi, who tragically passed away last month. He will also be seen later this year in the upcoming short film “Zambo Dende“, based upon the Latin American comic book character, and “Kickboxer: Vengeance”, the highly anticipated reboot of Van Damme’s 1989 cult classic “Kickboxer“, alongside Van Damme himself. Darren was a man who was absolutely great at being a bad guy, and in “Pound of Flesh”, he channels his predilection for playing villains with punishing martial arts skills into the role of the villainous Goran!

“Pound of Flesh” is set to be released later this year. Be sure to follow the film’s official Facebook page for more information!
