Kung Fury debuts online!

You will be hard pressed to find anything more unapologetically crazy this year than David Sandberg’s “Kung Fury”. The short film has spent the past year in the works, funded through Kickstarter and premiering on Robert Rodriguez’s El Rey Network prior to its debut on YouTube, and it is, quite simply something that you cannot allow yourself to miss!

In addition to writing and directing the film, Sandberg portrays the title character, a renegade cop endowed with superhuman martial arts skills dedicated to protecting the innocent as Kung Fury.  Humanoid arcade machines that suddenly spring to life are no match for our hero, but his newest mission calls upon him to travel back in time to Nazi Germany in order to stop Adolf Hitler aka the Kung Führer from claiming the Kung Fury prophecy. Along the way, he’ll encounter Laser Raptors, Lady Vikings from Norway, and even the Thunder God himself, Thor (prior to his membership with The Avengers, of course!) Can Kung Fury put a stop to the Kung Führer once and for all?

Not since “Black Dynamite” has a martial arts spoof comedy been this hilarious or well-constructed. In fact, you’ll probably want to see a crossover by the time the end credits roll!
