As the year draws to a close, you and your loved ones are hopefully continuing to have a safe and happy holiday season. And with 2014 so shortly around the corner, there is, of course, only one major holiday left to close out 2013, and that is, of course, New Year’s Eve! Perhaps no single evening breeds such widespread, simultaneously festivities across the entire planet in a single evening. Under the sky, under the heavens, there is indeed but one family, and the way in which the joy and celebration of New Year’s Eve brings the entire world together certainly serves as a powerful reminder of this as we enter the New Year together.
Alas, with the partying and jubilation of New Year’s Eve comes the heightened danger inevitable with any mass gathering or celebration. The world is still in the midst of the increase of robberies, muggings, and all-around crime and violence that sadly comes every holiday season, but New Year’s Eve brings with it – massive hordes of people, many of them intoxicated, converging together in the celebrations of the evening. All manner of crime and violence arriving anywhere at any given time is an unfortunate possibility that anyone venturing into the festivities of New Year’s Eve can and will face. Worse still, the aggressor you may find yourself faced with, if he or she comes, with likely be traveling in a pack. Martial artists are more prepared than most to face multiple enemies at a given time, but although this is a present threat throughout the year, perhaps no single day on the calendar increases the threat of multiple opponents as much as New Year’s Eve does.
Fortunately, Master Ken, founder of the most respected and feared martial art in human history, Ameri-Do-Te, has once again devised the perfect solution for this dilemma we all face.
