Episode One of Clandestine debuts

It used to be that episodic storytelling was strictly the domain of television shows. Not anymore with the arrival of YouTube and the internet machine. More and more action filmmakers are turning to YouTube as the avenue to put their passion projects out to the world, with the first episode of “Clandestine” being the latest to arrive online.

The supernatural web-series is here thanks to the tireless efforts of the group Epic Rival, itself an arm of Thousand Pounds Action Company. The official synopsis lays the world of “Clandestine” out for viewers:

“Enter the world of Clandestine.

Hidden within the recesses of modern society, lives four ancient supernatural clans who have been feuding since the beginning of time. Adelene, a young girl who knew nothing of the war between the clans, is suddenly thrown in the thick of it when it’s prophesied that she is the next matriarchal successor to the one of the Families.

Adelene begins her journey to learn all of what mankind has forgotten as she struggles to become the clans new “Matriarch”. The secrets of what life was like “before”, the decisions that risk countless lives, and the constant struggle to keep the clan united, are just a few of the dangerous trials she must now face… and survival is not guaranteed.

A martial arts action epic with political intrigue, love, and unforgettable supernatural action.

Epic Rival presents: Clandestine”

Under the direction of Haile Lee and Christopher C. Cowan, the series features accomplished stunt woman Amy Johnston (who is currently hard at work on the upcoming “Lady Bloodfight“) as the heroine Adelene. Her fellow veteran stunt performers Gui DaSilva, Jimmy Chhiu, Aaron Toney, Katrina Walters, and Michelle Lee also appear in the supporting cast, among others, while Brendon Huor handles the role of action director.
