New Jackie Chan trailers!

What do you want to be doing when you reach your sixties? Some variation of the word “retirement” will likely be in the answer many people would give, but if you’re Jackie Chan, your answer is, “The same thing I was doing in my twenties, of course!” With countless stunt-related injuries and some of the best action-comedies ever made under his belt, Jackie shows not the slightest indication of slowing down, readying himself for the upcoming “Kung Fu Yoga” and soon to be making a return to the role of Chon Wang in the upcoming “Shanghai Dawn“.

In the meantime, two trailers for his latest adventures, “Dragon Blade” and “Skiptrace”, have arrived!

Co-starring probably the most famous student of Benny “The Jet” Urquidez”, John Cusack, along with fellow Hollywood star Adrien Brody, “Dragon Blade” was released in China and Taiwan on February 19th and Hong Kong on March 12th, and is currently gearing up for its U.S. release courtesy of Lionsgate Films. The movie is set to roll out in a limited theatrical release in American cinemas on September 4th, with a release through Video On Demand platforms taking place the same day. Thankfully, the debut of the “Skiptrace” trailer ensures that this isn’t the only Jackie Chan-related news of the week!

Under the direction of Renny Harlin of “Die Hard 2”, “Cliffhanger” and “Deep Blue Sea” fame, Jackie is joined by comedian Johnny Knoxville, his “Shaolin” co-star Fan Bingbing, and WWE Smackdown’s Eve Torres, with the film set to debut in China on Christmas Day. According to the film’s official synopsis:

“One of the last good cops around, Hong Kong detective Bennie Black (Chan) has been tracking dangerous crime boss Victor Wong for over a decade. When Bennie’s beautiful young niece Samantha (Fan Bingbing) gets into trouble with Wong’s crime syndicate, he must track down the one man who can help her: fast-talking, American gambler Connor Watts (Knoxville). Watts, who is also on the run from the same mob and a dangerous Russian assassin. Eventually catching up with Connor in Siberia, Bennie races against the clock to bring him back to Hong Kong. The unlikely pair embark on a hilarious, perilous adventure from the windswept dunes of the Gobi Desert, to the rocky spires of the Huangshan Mountains.

Cultures collide in this buddy comedy which takes us to places on earth we have never seen before.”

Stay tuned for more information on “Skiptrace” and the American release of “Dragon Blade” as it comes in!
