Hong Kong Stuntman School!

The Hong Kong Stuntman Association has long had a reputation for including some of the hardest-working and most talented action performers in the world of film. With an Executive Committee that includes such luminaries as Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Lau Kar Leung, Eric Tsang, Yuen Woo Ping, Tung Ching, Won Bin, Stanley Tong, and Chin Ka Lok as its President, its credentials are unparalleled.

Many of the original members forged their skills through the incredibly tough training required in traditional Peking Opera Schools. With the decline of these schools, and advances in modern filmmaking, the HKSA recognised that it would be difficult to just “discover” talented new, young stunt men and women who already had many of the requisite skills.

As such, in October 2015 the HKSA established a professional vocational course teaching various aspects of stunt work, to ensure the next generation of stunt performers can meet the very high standards required in the Hong Kong action film industry. The courses feature guest tutors including top film directors, stunt co-ordinators, established stunt performers and martial arts specialists.
