Jason Bourne B-roll footage and fight clip released!

The world’s favorite amnesic super spy is set to return in the summer’s penultimate blockbuster with the upcoming “Jason Bourne”;  Matt Damon takes to his signature role of the world’s deadliest assassin with fists of fury, so it’s back to the extreme…!

Not much is currently known about where the film takes Bourne and judging from the title, the series may no longer be drawing much material from the Bourne novels. The fifth book in the series, the newest film’s chronological equivalent but evidently not its source material is titled “The Bourne Betrayal”. In any case, it seems that since disappearing at the end of 2007’s “The Bourne Ultimatum”, our hero is just doing what we all assumed would be his new career – competing in underground MMA fights, winning them by one-hit knockouts. I mean, really, it’s a no-brainer, right?

With the film having premiered in London on 11th July and set to hit theatres on the 29th, fans have a chance to catch a glimpse at Bourne’s newest adventure courtesy of some newly released B-roll footage and clips from the film, including one showing Bourne to be as lethal as ever, which you can see below!

When the Bourne franchise first took the world by storm back in 2002, Matt Damon underwent a huge amount of physical training to bring the deadliness of what would become his signature character to life. To make Bourne into the most lethal fighting machine possible, Damon was trained in Kali and Jeet Kune Do (JKD) by veteran stunt man and fight choreographer Jeff Imada, a student of Dan Inosanto and close friend of the late Brandon Lee. The fight sequences in the series frequently end in a flash with Bourne often taking out his enemies in seconds.

However, to give the audience their money’s worth, Bourne always encounters one opponent who can hold his own against him. You can see all of these knockout, drag-out brawls below, including one with “Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist” director/co-creator Joey Ansah in “Ultimatum”!

Stay tuned for more info on “Jason Bourne” as its release nears!
