Vlad Rimburg’s Kung Fu Jungle Fan Film!

Audiences all across the world are waiting with great anticipation for Donnie Yen’s latest martial arts action thriller, “Kung Fu Jungle”. The film, if the trailer and its Halloween release date in China and Hong Kong are to be believed, will take a similar approach to “The Raid”, merging action with horror in its story of Donnie Yen’s falsely convicted detective who gets a shot at freedom by tracking down a serial killer targeting martial arts experts throughout Hong Kong. But even though the wait for the film continues, independent filmmaker Vlad Rimburg just made it a bit easier to endure with his “Kung Fu Jungle”inspired fan film on YouTube!

As is typically the case with Rimburg’s short films, his latest addition to his YouTube channel is 5 minutes of insanely spectacular action to rival anything you’ll see on the big screen. The short, featuring Rimburg’s fellow stunt performers and frequent collaborators Brendan Huor, Bryan Cartago, and Gui DaSilva, is an absolute must-see for every martial arts film fan. The short is also hardly Rimburg’s first outing at directing a fan film – He previously put out a short starring Hammer Girl of “The Raid 2” fame this past March, and just last week released a conceptual film starring the X-Men’s Cajun card thrower Remy LaBeau aka Gambit, just to name a few!
