Street Fighter: Resurrection trailer debuts online!

Has it already been nearly two full years since “Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist” debuted on YouTube and claimed the throne of the best video game adaptation to date? Indeed, it has and in that time, “Street Fighter” fans across the globe have eagerly anticipated the upcoming follow-up, “Street Fighter: Resurrection”. Fortunately, the wait is nearly over, with the five-part mini-series set to arrive exclusively on Machinima via go90 on March 15th with the newly released trailer packing quite the sonic BOOM!

“Assassin’s Fist” leads Mike Moh and Christian Howard reprise their roles of Ryu and Ken Masters, while Alain Moussi of the upcoming “Kickboxer: Vengeance” (and its already greenlit sequel, “Kickboxer: Retaliation”) steps into the role of fan favorite character Charlie Nash.

The series will also draw from more recent elements of the “Street Fighter” canon with the inclusion of Laura Matsuda, a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu fighter who made her first appearance in the franchise in the recent “Street Fighter V”, portrayed here by Natascha Hopkins.

The official synopsis gives fans a glimpse into where “Resurrection” picks up:

Set a decade after the events of its prequel Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, the legendary heroes Ken and Ryu are once again reunited to face their most lethal threat yet. The presumed dead Charlie Nash is back, and is targeting other Street Fighter champions for reasons that are unknown. Now it’s up to Ken and Ryu to uncover his deadly plan and discover if he is ally or enemy.
