Street Fighter crew drops in for London Comic Con!

We’re just days away from the release of the acclaimed web-series “Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist“, which is set to debut on DVD and Blu-ray in the U.K. on Monday October 27th and in the U.S. the following day.

With the well-deserved phenomenal reception among critics and fans of the video game franchise which spawned it, what better way to usher in the series debut on home media than by meeting the “Assassin’s Fist” team at the London Comic Con?

Beginning at 11 am on Saturday, fans of the series were afforded the opportunity to meet series director Joey Ansah and other members of the cast and crew, but the icing on the cake came in the form of seeing some unseen footage from the series – specifically, the never-before-seen 13-minute epilogue that caps off the series. The epilogue will be featured on home media releases of “Assassin’s Fist”, but attendees of the London Comic Con were granted the privilege of being the first fans of the series to see it, on top of meeting its very creators, no less. Some folks have all the luck!

“Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist” began life as the fan film “Street Fighter: Legacy” in 2010, created by fans of the video game series, Joey Ansah and Christian Howard. The full series subsequently debuted on Machinima’s YouTube channel this past May to exceptionally positive reception from fans, especially in contrast with the first two attempts at adapting the series into live-action. Following the release of “Assassin’s Fist”, a sequel series, to be titled “Street Fighter: World Warrior”, was officially green lit. The lead characters of the series Ryu and Ken will return, with Mike Moh and Christian Howard reprising their roles, and the series will introduce such beloved characters of the “Street Fighter” franchise as Chun-li, Guile, Sagat, and M. Bison, among others.

Most importantly, however, mark your calender for Monday or Tuesday next week – you certainly don’t want to miss how that 13-minute epilogue turns out!
