Fun Friday – Brick Breaking with Master Ken!

For centuries, martial artists have sought the most effective methods of conditioning their bodies and testing the effectiveness of their strikes. One of these has been the practice of breaking solid objects with fists, feet, and the head, a practice that continues to this day. Boards are among the more popular training tools used, with countless billions being split and smashing throughout the ages. However, owing to their much greater density and durability, bricks are also popular. They call upon the student attempting to break them to continue whichever limb he or she is using as much as possible, and are just and all-around more difficult object to break with any part of the human body.

Master Ken, founder of the supremely invincible street lethal art of Ameri-Do-Te, knows the practice of board breaking well. As history’s most impervious martial artist and the world’s only 11th degree black belt, Master Ken has gathered the strong points of every martial art in existence to form the arsenal of Ameri-Do-Te, which casting off their flaws. This is the origin of the catchphrase popular of Ameri-Do-Te practitioners, “Best of All, Worst of None”. It, of course, goes without saying that since every martial art ever devised is not even one-one thousandth as powerful as Ameri-Do-Te, brick breaking has been incorrectly taught and executed by every martial art since the dawn of time. Fortunately, Master Ken has arrived to correct this fault once again with the latest installment of his popular web-series, “Enter the Dojo”, in which he shows how to properly break a brick with one’s head. Before you ask, no, this doesn’t involved simply giving the brick a strong Kill Face, as this gives the student an unfair shortcut in their training, not to mention that the shrapnel that would result from a properly executed Kill Face on a brick is far too dangerous even with Master Ken’s direct supervision!
