Pound of Flesh Behind-the-Scenes video!

The upcoming action-thriller “Pound of Flesh” is set to make its debut on May 20th, but why wait that long to see how the film was created? Check out the newly released behind-the-scenes video of the film below!

Directed by Ernie Barbarash, whose past directorial efforts include “Assassination Games” and “Falcon Rising”, the film stars Jean-Claude Van Damme in the role of Deacon, who inexplicably has his kidney stolen just as he is to donate it for the sake of his ailing niece, setting off a race against the clock to track down the thieves of his organ. The action direction of the film is handled by frequent Donnie Yen collaborator John Salvitti, who brings an MMA influence to the film’s fight choreography. “Pound of Flesh” also marks one of the final appearances on film of Darren Shahlavi, who tragically passed away in January at the age of 42. Darren will also be seen alongside Van Damme later this year in “Kickboxer: Vengeance”, a modern update of Van Damme’s own 1989 cult classic “Kickboxer“. As will surely be the case with the films themselves, it is truly bitter-sweet seeing Darren’s interview in this making of video.
