Ken’s trailer arrives for Street Fighter Assassin’s Fist!

The wait for the debut of “Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist” has only gotten increasingly harder (or easier, depending on how you look at it) to endure, by the fact that each trailer has gotten better and better. Beginning last month with a cryptic, dialogue-free teaser, fans were then treated to a trailer focusing on the stoic, wandering warrior Ryu just a few weeks ago. And now, the “Assassin’s Fist” team have dropped the series’ best trailer yet, this one focusing on Ryu’s best friend and fellow Ansatsuken student, Ken Masters!

Any “Street Fighter” will agree that, on the basis on the newest trailer, “Assassin’s Fist” has hit the bull’s-eye in its depiction of Ken. Every bit as strong-willed and dedicated to his art as Ryu, Ken is also just a little cockier and much more jovial than Ryu. As seen the trailer, the series will also explore Ken’s rather strained relationship with his father, placing him in perfect contrast to the loner that his best friend Ryu has spent much of his life as.

However, what is arguably the greatest feature of the trailer is that, even more so than the previous two, this one displays just how perfectly the action will follow-up the gameplay of the series. Not only are the fighting techniques that would fall under the umbrella of “special moves” clearly visible, but so are far more basic techniques that fans will instantly recognize as being drawn from each characters respective fighting arsenal. Even the fighting stances that Ken adopts in the trailer are pulled directly from the game.

“Assassin’s Fist” debuts on Machinima’s YouTube Channel this May, and it cannot get here fast enough!
