John Wick 2 trailer and training video released!

These days, Keanu Reeves has his sidearms locked and loaded and his judo throws as sharp as ever, and the upcoming “John Wick: Chapter Two” probably has something to do with that. Read our official review of the original 2014 sleeper hit and then whet your appetite for chapter two with the official trailer below, recently released at this year’s New York Comic Con. Sadly, at no point does our hero think far enough ahead to proudly proclaim, “Heeeeerrre’s Johnny!”, but what are you going to do about that?

Of course, that’s hardly the only tease that’s been released online for the upcoming sequel. As with the first outing, Keanu Reeves poured his heart and soul into training a wide variety of different disciplines, from gunplay to martial arts and everything inbetween and the newly-released training video (see below) gives viewers a glimpse into Mr. Reeves’ boundless dedication and determination to bring John Wick to life once again!

Mr. Reeves is supposedly over the age of fifty, but his physicality seen in the first “John Wick” (as well as a simple glance at his face!) says otherwise.

In any case, the film re-unites him with his co-stars from the first film, John Leguizamo, Ian McShane and David Patrick Kelly along with rapper Common and his co-star from “The Matrix ” trilogy, Laurence Fishburne.

The film once again falls under the direction of Chad Stahelski, Reeves’ own stuntman from that very series, now flying solo for chapter two due to the original film’s co-director David Leitch being in the director’s chair for next year’s “The Coldest City”. The sequel will reportedly expand on the worldbuilding seen in the first film, with John Wick once again forced out of retirement when an old associate attempts to usurp control of an international assassin’s ring, forcing John to head out to Rome and face off against a cabal of killers that rival his own deadly skills.

“John Wick: Chapter Two” hits US theaters on February 10th, and UK theaters on the 17th. Stay tuned for more info on this cool, action-stacked thriller as it arrives!
