Iron Fist trailer debuts online!

If you were able to make the recent New York Comic Con, there was no shortage of goodies you had the privilege of being able to sample firsthand this year, especially the latest trailer of Marvel and Netflix’s upcoming series “Iron Fist”. Fortunately, for those who weren’t able to make it this year, while nothing can compare to being on the ground floor of Comic-Con, the internet has a way of getting the whole world up to speed pretty swiftly!

A long-time favorite of martial arts fans, Iron Fist at last makes the leap to live-action to claim his place in the pantheon of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and judging from the trailer, the MCU is set to hit the bull’s eye once again. “Game of Thrones” star Finn Jones steps into the role of billionaire martial artist Danny Rand, who travels to the mystical city of K’un Lun and becomes a kung fu master, albeit one with the ability to focus his chi into his fist to make it as strong as iron!

Of course, as is typically the case in the modern era of superhero films, Danny will just be getting started in his solo series. Jones is also set to reprise his role in the upcoming crossover series “The Defenders”, which will unite him with Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter, who respectively hail from the hit Marvel-Netflix shows “Daredevil“, “Jessica Jones”, and “Luke Cage”, for a street-level “Avengers”-style crossover. Attendees of the New York Comic Con were privileged to see “The Defenders” unite on stage for the first time along with news that none other than Sigourney Weaver will fulfill the villainous duties of the series. You can see “The Defenders” first on-stage gathering at the New York Comic Con below!

“Iron Fist” is set to debut on Netflix on March 17th, with “The Defenders” following sometime later in 2017. Stay tuned for more info on both series as it arrives, and be sure to check out our official reviews of “Daredevil” season one and season two!
