Happy Birthday Joe Lewis!

Happy Birthday Joe Lewis! If he was still with us today he’d be 70-years old, sadly he passed away on August 31st 2012.

He was a champion kickboxer, point karate fighter, as well as an actor and trained privately with Bruce Lee.

As a fighter Lewis gained fame for his fights in the 1960s and 1970s; he became the undefeated United States Heavyweight Kickboxing champion in 1971 with a perfect 10-0, 10 KO’s. He is one of only five men to defeat legendary Chuck Norris.

Film wise his notable roles were in Jaguar Lives! (1979) and Force: Five (1981).
