Street Fighter: Resurrection main trailer arrives!

We’re just five days away from the grand debut of “Street Fighter: Resurrection”, the highly anticipated follow-up to 2014’s hit “Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist“, and with one amazing trailer already making the rounds, series creators Joey Ansah and Christian Howard decided to throw us one more just to ramp up the excitement – and who’s gonna complain about that!

“Assassin’s Fist” leads Mike Moh and Christian Howard reprise their roles of Ansatsuken students Ryu and Ken Masters, who find themselves roped into an Interpol mission after the mysterious resurrection of Charlie Nash, portrayed by Alain Moussi of the upcoming “Kickboxer: Vengeance”. Also along for the ride is one of the most recent additions to the “Street Fighter” canon, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu fighter Laura Matsuda, who made her first appearance in the recent “Street Fighter V”, and is portrayed here by Natascha Hopkins.

Both the newest trailer and it’s predecessor absolutely put to rest any lingering doubts (what little were left after the release of “Assassin’s Fist”) that films originating in the realm of video games are inevitably doomed to failure. Better still, “Street Fighter” fans have more than a few Easter Eggs to salivate over until the series finally drops. Whereas the previous trailer teased the debut of the series’ long-running antagonist M. Bison, the newest trailer name drops the First Lady of Fighting Games herself, Chun Li! There’s also a quick flash of what could very well be Vega, as well, but we’ll just have to wait and see where they make their official entry in the “Assassin’s Fist” series.

“Street Fighter: Resurrection” will release on Tuesday, March 15th on go90 via Machinima. Stay tuned for more info coming soon!
