Second trailer for Rise of the Legend arrives!

After over a decade’s long absence, the legendary kung fu master Wong Fei-hung is set to come out of retirement and return to the silver screen this fall in “Rise of the Legend”. As the release of the film approaches, we saw a splendid teaser trailer last month, and it’s now followed by a second trailer that is sure to double your anticipation for the film!

The film features rising star Eddie Peng in the role of China’s iconic folk hero, and will serve as a reboot of Wong’s adventures by showing him in his younger days. Sammo Hung co-stars in the film, with famed action director Corey Yuen handling the film’s fight choreography.

For the longest time, Wong-Fei-hung movies were a dime a dozen in Hong Kong, but he’s been curiously scarce in the 21st century. Based on what we’ve seen so far, “Rise of the Legend” is aiming to change that! Pay close attention to the last few seconds of the new trailer, and you’ll hear something that suggests that the film might just be aiming for a spot next to the “Once Upon A Time In China” series!

“Rise of the Legend” will be released in China and Hong Kong on November 21st.
