Undisputed 4 officially underway!

Scott Adkins has officially returned to his iconic role of Yuri Boyka, The Most Complete Fighter in the World, in the upcoming “Boyka: Undisputed 4”, which began filming in Bulgaria last week! The long-awaited sequel to the popular “Undisputed” franchise marks Scott’s third outing as the ‘tough as nails’ Russian MMA fighter; details on its upcoming release should become available in the coming months.

The “Undisputed” series began inauspiciously in 2002 as a prison boxing film with Wesley Snipes and Ving Rhames headlining the first entry. The film came and went uneventfully, but the second entry, “Undisputed 2: Last Man Standing” blew all expectations out of the water. Under the direction of acclaimed action filmmaker Isaac Florentine, the film shifted the focus from boxing to MMA, recast Ving Rhames’ character George “The Iceman” Chambers as the protagonist, with Michael Jai White assuming the role, and let Scott Adkins flex his muscles as the rare bad guy you’re actually rooting for. Later, Boyka got to step into the spotlight of the hero with the follow-up, “Undisputed 3: Redemption“, which more than lived up to the standards set by its predecessor.

The fourth installment will once again focus on Boyka’s story, with Tim Man stepping into the role of fight choreographer, which was handled by J.J. “Loco” Perry in the second film and Larnell Stovall in the third. Tim also previously served as fight choreographer in 2013’s “Ninja II: Shadow of a Tear“, where he also got to show off his incredible kicking and flexibility in a blazing duel against Scott!

For more information on “Boyka: Undisputed IV”, be sure to follow the film’s official Facebook page, along with Scott Adkins official Facebook and Twitter pages for further updates, as well.  Now, let the chanting begin – Boy-ka! Boy-ka! Boy-ka!
