Tracers trailer released online!

For the better part of the past few years, Taylor Lautner has been known to morph into a wolf the size of a horse and battle with a sparkling vampire for the affections of a girl at school in the “Twilight” series.  However, one thing that the series didn’t highlight is that Mr. Lautner is also a highly skilled karateka and XMA tricking machine, and he’s also added parkour to his physical exploits in the upcoming action thriller “Tracers”, which has recently released its trailer online.

The official synopsis explains what viewers can expect:

After he crashes his bike into a super-sexy stranger named Nikki (Avgeropoulos), Cam (Lautner) is introduced to her crew — a team that uses parkour to pull off heists.  Hoping to alleviate his deepening debt to a violent crime gang, Cam quickly joins the group.   As the stakes get higher with more dangerous side ventures, the payouts get bigger.  Cam must use every ounce of his skill to stay alive as the crew’s heists grow more daring with each job, and gang enforcers breathe relentlessly down his neck.

“Tracers” marks Lautner’s second venture into action films following 2011’s “Abduction”, and co-stars Marie Avgeropoulos, Adam Rayner, and Rafi Gavron.  The film is also the second of Lautner’s post-“Twilight” career after his villainous appearance in “Grown Ups 2”, where his karate and XMA skills proved so overwhelming for Adam Sandler that he at one point bluntly asked, “What, were you raised by ninjas?”

“Tracers” is set to receive a showing on Direct TV on January 22nd, followed by a simultaneous release in theaters and Video on Demand on March 20th.  Until then, feast your eyes on this sparring match from “Abduction”!
