The Martial Arts Expo (TMAX)

We had a great time at The Martial Arts Expo (TMAX) in Coventry at the weekend; it was full-on with lots of quality demonstrations and lots of well-known figures in the martial-arts and combat world, and to be surrounded by it was fantastic!

From the dynamic Edmunds Sistas with their exciting performances, to MMA practice with Alex Reid to the awesome physicality of the Shaolin Warriors, the hilarious Master Ken, extremely knowledgeable Escrima/Arnis Masters like John Harvey, Indian Battlefield War arts care of Nidar Singh, to great Aikido Masters like Peter Brown, Krav Maga demonstrations as well as a night of real muay thai (kickboxing), arm wrestling and weightlifting! The list of things to see and so was endless. And to cap it all, when you needed a sit down, there was also a cinema showing epic martial movies on a lovely big screen!

To have this all under one roof proved to be a mecca for all martial artists and fans of these fascinating sports! Everyone was friendly, approachable and eager to share – there was a positive vibe and contagious energy around the whole arena that made it all together a unique experience indeed!

We’ve been posting pictures up on Instagram and will share that here on the site along with video footage. Thanks to all the crew at the event for making a memorable event, and for letting us loose on everyone! Especially big hearty thanks to Big Kwoklyn Wan!
