Tekken 7 Gameplay Video Released!

Gamers across the world are itching with excitement for the arrival of 2017 and really, can you blame them? After all, that’s when the newest chapter in the long-running “Tekken” franchise, the upcoming “Tekken 7”, is set to be released on Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. Fortunately, the wait will be slightly easier to endure thanks to some newly released gameplay footage that you can see below!

“Tekken” producer Katsuhiro Harada has gone on record to say that the seventh instalment, bearing the subtitle “Fated Retribution”, will be darker than past games in the series and bring some pivotal new elements into the franchise, including the origin of the mysterious “Devil Gene” and will bring the ongoing feud between Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima and Heihachi Mishima full circle along with providing new answers to the rift in the Mishima clan.

Along with a host of characters from the “Tekken” franchise returning for part seven, including but not limited to Bryan Fury, Paul Phoenix, Hwoarang, Lee Chaolan, Ling Xiaoyu, and Marshall Law, several new characters will make their “Tekken” debuts here, such as Saudi Arabian fighter Shaheen, Savate exponent Katarina Alves and Filipino kickboxer Josie Rizal among several others.

“Tekken 7” further sweetens the deal for fighting game fans with the inclusion of Akuma of the “Street Fighter” series, who is said to play a significant role in the game’s story. Will “Tekken 7” ultimately become the battle of Satsui No Hado versus the Devil Gene? Only time will tell, but considering the stellar reception of 2012’s “Street Fighter X Tekken”, further crossovers between the two franchises isn’t something gamers are likely to reject!

Stay tuned for more info on “Tekken 7” as it arrives, and be sure to check out the game’s official trailer and more gameplay footage below!
