Ninja Turtles are back!

Ninja Turtles are back! The Internet’s buzzing about the latest teaser Paramount recently released for the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.  It gets a US release on August 8th, and comes out here in the UK on October 17. It stars both Megan Fox and Will Arnett.

It has the feel of a Michael Bay movie, which is not surprising since he’s one of the producers famous for that other epic action movie, Transformers, and yes, TMNT will be in both 3D and 2D. Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, he brought us movies such as Battle Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. No pre-judging going on here…

Back to the turtles.  As for their ninja fighting skills, well, we can only hope there’s some decent fighting action in there!

Does anyone remember when we had to call this Teenage Mutant HERO Turtles back in the 80s or am I showing my age?

    • I think there's still the alien connection, co-creator Kevin Eastman came out and said as much, so I guess you can't really argue with that. Perhaps the original idea of "chemical ooze" was old hat and it needed something else. I know, aliens!
