Fun Friday – Master Ken welcomes Cynthia Rothrock to the dojo!

An often overlooked issue in the art of combat comes with the level of force one should respond to a given assault with. Most martial artists lean heavily toward fighting techniques, where their opponent is attacking with closed fists and has a clear intent to inflict tremendous harm, and in situations like that, it’s perfectly appropriate to respond with an equal level of force. Likewise, if the opponent is armed, it is appropriate and indeed expected for every martial artist to step up his or her level of force. However, what about situations where one encounters a risk of injury, but to a lesser degree – perhaps an argument with a friend or a significant other, maybe one where alcohol is involved. You don’t need to go for the knockout, but it is still necessary to defend yourself. What do you do?

Once again, Master Ken, founder of the flawless science of combat known as Ameri-Do-Te, has the solution to the problem. As the deadliest martial artist to ever live and the world’s only 11th degree black belt, he’s spent every waking moment of his life studying every martial art in the world, filtering out their flaws whilst retaining their strengths in order to create the arsenal of Ameri-Do-Te. This approach to combat is the origin of the phrase popular among Ameri-Do-Te practitioners, “Best of All, Worst of None”. Since no martial art ever devised can address the notion of self-defense without inflicting bodily harm, Master Ken has risen to the occasion once again. Even better, one of his first students in this endeavor is the world-renown Cynthia Rothrock, who has graciously agreed to put aside her own ego and the decades of useless tripe that she’s dedicated herself to in order to absorb a tiny fraction of Master Ken’s boundless wisdom. A wise decision on her part – one lesson with Master Ken is more than enough to make one 1000 percent more street lethal than a martial artist with fifty years of training under their belt!
