Handshakes are the preferred method of offering greetings, thanks, and salutations among people of many cultures. They are also among the ways in which athletes congratulate one another following a match, with both the victor and the defeated offering their handshake as a sign of respect for the efforts extended by their opponent in the match. Modern MMA fighters have also adopted this technique of showing respect to one another. However, as everyone in the world of martial arts knows, a handshake can quickly turn into a duel between the two parties if one refuses to accept to defeat and uses the handshake to facilitate their attack. Worse still, the handshake can be declined by the victor, as UFC Women’s Bantamweigh Champion Rhonda Rousey did at the end of her fight against Miesha Tate earlier this year, and no martial art in existence teaches an appropriate counter attack to a declined handshake.
That is, until Master Ken arrived to remedy the situation. As the world’s deadliest martial artist and its only 11th degree black belt, Master Ken has spent every waking moment since birth studying every martial art ever created, siphoning out their flaws whilst collecting all of their weaknesses, resulting in the creation of his undefeatable street lethal art of Ameri-Do-Te. This methodology is the origin of the phrase popular amongst Ameri-Do-Te students, “Best of All, Worst of None”. Counterattacking a declined handshake, referred to by Master Ken as “Pulling a Rousey”, is an assault that Ameri-Do-Te alone is capable of effectively addressing. Read on to uncover the secret for the perfect response in this scenario!
