Michelle Yeoh & Selina Lo join Boss Level!

Joe Carnahan’s upcoming sci-fi thriller “Boss Level”, currently filming in Atlanta (Georgia) is set to take audiences through a Groundhog Day-esque premise of a man who finds himself trapped in a time-loop, forcing him to experience his own death over and over. While there’s currently no footage or much info available on the project, as martial arts fan, you’ll want to keep it on your radar, following the recent additions of Michelle Yeoh and Selina Lo to the cast!

Also set to appear in the film are Mel Gibson, comedian Ken Jeong aka “Dr. Ken”, and “Beyond Skyline” and “Wolf Warrior II” star Frank Grillo. “Boss Level” isn’t the only upcoming collaboration between Carnahan and Grillo, they’re also set to tackle the long in-development English-language remake of “The Raid“, which was recently given some updates on by the film’s screenwriter, Adam G. Simon.

While not much is currently known about Michelle Yeoh’s role in “Boss Level”, she’s hardly a stranger to action films. After years as an action star in Hong Kong, Yeoh shot to international stardom with 1997’s “Tomorrow Never Dies” as the Bond girl ‘Wai Lin’ and 2000’s “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon“. More recently, Yeoh has ventured into sci-fi herself with appearances in last year’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” and CBS’ “Star Trek: Discovery”.

Selina Lo first gained attention for her appearance as ‘Tsukai’ in 2012’s “The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption”. Prior to the tentative release of “Boss Level” in 2019, Lo will also be seen in stunt veteran Jesse V. Johnson‘s upcoming action thriller “The Debt Collector”, as well as his highly anticipated martial arts ensemble, “Triple Threat“!
