Interview with Cecep Arif Rahman

Any fans of “The Raid” films out there? Rhetorical question, obviously, but in all seriousness, we’ve got an interview you’re not going to want to miss – namely, our fireside chat with none other than Cecep Arif Rahman, the Silat master who played the villainous, unrelenting assassin from “The Raid 2“!

The interview came about during 2016’s Indonesian Weekend in London, a lively, cultural festival celebrating all things Indonesian, which naturally included their indigenous martial art of Pencak Silat. Cecep was among the invited guests, along with several of his students. Kung Fu Kingdom were privileged to speak with Cecep about his life in martial arts, his involvement in “The Raid 2”, and his more recent appearance in 2015’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” that you can see below!

And naturally, no interview with one of the stars of “The Raid” franchise would be complete without a Silat demo…!

We hope you enjoy our interview with Cecep as much as we did, and don’t forget to check out our previous interviews with his fellow alumni of “The Raid” series, Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian, and Gareth Evans!
