Fun Friday – Redirecting a slap with Master Ken!

Slapping is one of the most methods of landing a surprise attack by unschooled fighters, and it shouldn’t be written off as ineffective by martial artists. The element of surprise can a strong enough advantage to fell even the most seasoned and well-schooled of fighters, and it takes shockingly little expertise on the part of the attacker to effectively turn the slap into a palm strike. Just a little shift of the hips and a tad more commitment to the technique, and one can land a strike that, while technique still slapping their opponent, can incapacitate them or even knock them out cold.

Fortunately, Master Ken, the deadliest and most formidable martial artist to ever live, has devised the perfect solution to this problem within the arsenal of his street lethal art of Ameri-Do-Te. The secret of the power of Ameri-Do-Te, and its innate superiority over every method of combat ever devised, is that it is assembled from the most effective techniques of every combat system in existence, and dispenses with all of ineffective nonsense that makes up the bulk of virtually every martial art ever developed. This approach forms the basis of the Ameri-Do-Te slogan, “Best of All, Worst of None”. And surely, if that isn’t strong enough evidence for you that Master Ken is the only man in the world, and perhaps even the universe, capable of developing an effective counter to a slap attack, the 11th degree black belt that he and he alone holds should put all of your doubts to rest!
