Fun Friday – Master Ken teaches fish hooking!

The truly devastating power of martial arts is often severely underestimated by the general public, and even by many martial arts practitioners themselves. Anyone who has ever taken uppercut to the chin or a roundhouse kick to the temple can attest to one thing – if you know what you’re doing, you can land a technique on an opponent with enough impact that they will NOT come back for seconds. But what about even more devastating techniques, the kind that don’t simply end fights immediately, but that can actually result in permanent damage to the one on the receiving end – nerve strikes, snapping joints and ligaments, eye gouges, ear ripping, and even the dreaded fish-hook? All of these are techniques not to be utilized unless one has absolutely no other option. Fish hooking, for example, is not only exceptionally painful for the recipient, but the end result of using the technique to its highest effectiveness – inserting one or more fingers into the enemies mouth and literally tearing the flesh of their cheek open – is not pretty.

As with every principle of combat, Master Ken, founder of the indestructible martial art of Ameri-Do-Te, knows this better than anyone! The most powerful martial arts master to ever walk the face of the Earth and the world’s only 11th degree black belt, Master Ken has specifically designed Ameri-Do-Te as a compendium of the most effective techniques of all other martial arts and throwing out all of the fluff, hence the Ameri-Do-Te catchphrase, “Best of All, Worst of None”. As such, Ameri-Do-Te is comprised almost exclusively of “illegal techniques”, with the fish-hook being a favorite among practitioners of the art. And Master Ken is here today to show not only how to properly execute an effective fish-hook, but also when such a punishing maneuver should be utilized. Master Ken and the teachings of Ameri-Do-Te haven’t steered us wrong yet; surely, the Ameri-Do-Te fish-hook methodology is the most effective ever devised!
