Few weapons capture the imagination the same way that the Lightsaber does. The standard issue side arm of the Jedi and Sith warriors, Lightsabers are capable of cleanly severing an opponents limb and cauterizing the wound in the blink of an eye. Better still, the user can easily deactivate the weapon so as not to unintentionally harm himself or herself when they are merely carrying it by their side and are not called upon to use it in battle. Luke Skywalker famously mastered the art of the Lightsaber under the dual tutelage of Obi-wan Kenobi and Yoda, the last of the Jedi and among the mightiest warriors the universe has ever known before their kind was nearly eradicated by Darth Vader under the leadership of the nefarious Sith Lord Palpatine. Lacking the clumsiness and randomness of a simple blaster, the Jedi and the Sith have both trusted it for eons.
Unfortunately, they’ve both been using it incorrectly for that exact amount of time, but that’s through no fault of their own. Rather, it is simply because Jedi and Sith have relied on their own respective brands of martial arts throughout the ages and both are completely lacking in Ameri-Do-Te training. That’s where Master Ken, the mightiest martial artist to ever live and the world’s only 11th degree black belt, comes in. From the moment he could first walk, Master Ken has studied ever martial art ever conceived, including those of the Jedi and Sith and fully immersed himself in the way of the Force, filtering out their weaknesses whilst retaining their strengths in forming the combat arsenal of Ameri-Do-Te. This eclectic approach to fighting is the origin of the phrase popular among Ameri-Do-Te students, “Best of All, Worst of None”. Master Ken, of course, is far better versed in the art of the Lightsaber and the way of the Force than any Jedi or Sith in history. Hopefully, a few of them are watching his instructional video on Lightsaber combat – a little Ameri-Do-Te influence would be most welcome when “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” debuts next December!
