Fun Friday – Fighting a boxer with Master Ken!

Western Boxing is a powerful and effective tool of combat, and some in the martial arts community even go as far as to call it a martial art, in and of itself. It has the same basic principles – discipline, hard work, conditioning, precision, technique over brute force, and all are only achievable with steadfast dedication and perseverance. Although it has limits in its versatility in combat, due to being focused exclusive on punching, there’s no denying that it can teach you to both give and take a punch. Legendary martial artists like Bruce Lee and Benny Urquidez famously derived much of their power and skill from boxing, and when you have fighters of that kind of caliber giving their endorsement to the art of boxing, you know it’s effectiveness beyond a shadow of a doubt.

At least, that’s what martial artists unfamiliar with the teachings of the deadliest man to ever walk the Earth, Master Ken, have to say. As the world’s only 11th degree black belt, Master Ken has devoted his life to the perfection of the art of combat. After rising to the highest levels of every martial art ever created by man, Master Ken would go about doing away with the weakness of each whilst retaining their respective strengths, and thus the undefeatable, street lethal art of Ameri-Do-Te was born. This mindset towards fighting is also the origin of the phrase “Best of All, Worst of None” popular among Ameri-Do-Te practitioners. In crafting his art, Master Ken found no practical use for any of the tools of boxing, and thus, we can safely say that any Ameri-Do-Te student of any skill level, from beginners to experts, can effortlessly crush even the mightiest of boxers, and the latest installment of Master Ken’s popular web-series, “Enter the Dojo”, clearly illustrates why!
