Baaghi 2 trailer arrives online!

Tiger Shroff is ready to return to the arena of Bollywood butt-kickers with the upcoming “Baaghi 2”, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2016 hit “Baaghi“. With the film’s March 30th release date right around the corner, fans can catch a glimpse at everything “Baaghi 2” is prepared to throw at them with the film’s newly released trailer, which you can see below!

Right off the bat, viewers can see that “Baaghi 2” will mark a noticeable tone-shift from the first film. While its predecessor effectively positioned itself as “The Karate Kid” meets “The Raid“, “Baaghi 2”, which already has a sequel greenlit, carries a distinctly “Rambo”-esque look and feel, with our hero Ronny making the leap from the rebellious youngster he portrayed in the first film into that of a fully-fledged super-soldier. Of course, “Baaghi” saw him assume the mantle of ‘Kalari guru’ by the end, so it’ll certainly be interesting to see how that plays into Ronny’s transformation here. Tiger is also attached to the upcoming Bollywood remake of “Rambo”, so the “One Man Army” action hero may well be a groove he’s preparing to settle into.

With his infectious charisma and outstanding martial arts skills, Tiger carried the first “Baaghi” entirely on his own powerful shoulders with ease, and judging from the amount of muscle he’s put on between films, those deltoids certainly looked prepared for the rugged rigours of “Baaghi 2”. A fifth dan in Taekwondo, Tiger took up India’s indigenous martial art of Kalaripayattu for the first film under real-life Kalari guru and trainer of Indian commandos, Grandmaster Shifuji Shaurya Bharadwaj, who also played Ronny’s mentor, Guruswamy, in the film. Bahardwaj later praised Tiger’s dedication and athleticism, and there’s certainly no shortage of that at all in the trailer above, especially when Ronny unleashes an “Ip Man“-style flurry on an unfortunate adversary at 1:46!

“Baaghi 2” is set to release in India on March 30th. Stay tuned for more news on the film’s international release as it arrives!
